ARTIST STATEMENT
During my career I have explored many aspects of figurative art, dedicating special interest to the construction of letters, the study of architecture and portrait techniques.
Today I am elaborating these aspects in a unique language in which the composition plays a fundamental role in balancing these three themes and creates a dreamlike and emotional narrative.
Through a quick and instinctive line, I seek a primitive expressiveness, linked to imperfection, error and intuition. In contrast, the complexity of my visual compositions serves to create an emotional roller coaster that finds its balance in the alternation between the silence of the empty spaces and the noise of the full ones.
In my practice I see each medium for a different aim: muralism has always been the red thread of my production, where everything began and where everything returns, paper is the moment of reflection and inner research, canvas is where I generate more elaborate ideas with delicacy and attention to detail.
My work of two decades in the world of animation translates into my images as dynamics and as movements frozen in time.
