The Artist
Delia Ruiz Malo is a Barcelona-born graphic artist with a background in Graphic Design, having honed her craft through studies in her hometown, Helsinki, and Madrid. Her dual journey as a designer and artist has been profoundly shaped by living in diverse countries such as Finland, the Netherlands, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Costa Rica, each contributing unique cultural and environmental influences. These experiences have broadened her creative perspective, fostering a distinctive and deeply personal artistic style.
Driven by her passion for nature, the ocean, outdoor sports, and travel, Delia draws endless inspiration from the world around her. These themes are at the heart of her art, which reflects her profound connection to the natural world. Growing up surrounded by plants and a biologist mother, Delia developed an early apprecia- tion for biodiversity and the beauty of organic forms—an influence that continues to resonate in her work.
Her creative style is defined by a bold use of flat colours, intricate textures, and striking contrasts, blended with a strong graphic language that sets her apart. Delia’s artistic approach often begins with exploring new environments, sketching elements that catch her eye, and then translating those impressions into vibrant compositions.
Beyond her personal artistic practice, Delia is also an accomplished graphic artist who collaborates with clients worldwide.
Her ability to transform concepts into visually compelling designs has led to successful partnerships with renowned organizations across various industries. Her work has also garnered significant attention in the media and has been featured in prestigious publications.
Through her art, Delia seeks to inspire viewers to reconnect with the natural world and to embrace its beauty, resilience, and diversity.
